One of the biggest challenge in writing for today’s
world is ironically social media. Even though all of the advances in technology
amaze me and being an 20 year old I am probably obsessed with it I think it has
changed the way we have decided to talk to one another. Sometimes when
I'm typing a paper for English I will find myself typing in slang as if I were
sending a text…I know scary.
Should there be a certain way to write when
writing on social media than there is in print news and broadcast news? It is
almost as if social media has moved itself away form the idea of online web
writing and transformed into a whole new genre. How can journalists branch out
and cover all of the genres of news sources when there are so many?
Another issue Journalists struggle with is writing
fairly.
Here is a link to an article saying that most
Americans get their news from TV :

However I beg to differ, I believe most people get their news sources
from social media! With everyone using their smart phones and having
social media literally at the tips of their fingers I believe social media
trumps all for news sources.
